“Conscious of their high calling, confident in the society-building power which their Faith possesses, they press forward, undeterred and undismayed, in their efforts to fashion and perfect the necessary instruments wherein the embryonic World Order of Bahá’u’lláh can mature and develop. It is this building process, slow and unobtrusive, to which the life of the world-wide Bahá’í Community is wholly consecrated, that constitutes the one hope of a stricken society.” ~Shoghi Effendi
HearTheWritings.com is pleased to present The December 28th 2010 Message from The Universal House of Justice. Just as we had finished and released our version of The 2010 Ridván Message The House of Justice released this powerful message addressing the key features of the next five year plan. Naturally, with its significant implications to the work of the Cause, we had to release an audio version of it as well. We are pleased to offer it to you here, now.
In this powerful address to the Conference of the Continental Boards of Counsellors on December 28th 2010, The Universal House of Justice opens up a vista to the Bahá’í community outlining some of the central themes and goals of the upcoming five year plan and proceeds to focus our attention from the building processes that are taking place to those that have yet to occur. In clear unequivocal terms they address the institutions, those serving on administrative bodies, as well as individuals and give explicit guidance as to necessary transformation that must occur to meet the goals of the upcoming five year plan.
Addressing the Bahá’í community members directly, the House of Justice appeals them to uphold a higher standard, some of which the Guardian described as the “spiritual prerequisites for the success of all Bahá’í undertakings.” They take great care to elaborate on those which, the Guardian indicated, “stand out as preeminent and vital”. Further, The Universal House of Justice exhorts the community to exemplify a “rectitude of conduct in every aspect of their lives–in their business dealings, in their domestic lives, in all manner of employment, in every service they render to the Cause and to their people”.
Bahá’u’lláh expounds that “the present-day order” must “be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead.” The Guardian gives us assurance that “It is this building process… that constitutes the one hope of a stricken society.”

What a gift – thank you so much. My only request we be that the document was read a little slower – my mind doesn’t seem to work as fast as others.
