O amici amatissimi! Siete gli araldi del nome di Dio in questo Giorno, e siete stati scelti come depositari del Suo mistero. Ciascuno di voi ha l’obbligo di manifestare gli attributi di Dio e di esemplificare con le proprie azioni e le proprie parole i segni della Sua rettitudine, del Suo potere e della Sua gloria. Perfino le membra del vostro corpo devono attestare l’elevatezza del vostro scopo, l’integrità della vostra vita, la realtà della vostra fede e la sublimità della vostra devozione. Poiché in verità vi dico, questo è il Giorno di cui Dio parlò nel Suo Libro.1 In quel giorno porremo un suggello sulle loro bocche; eppure Ci parleranno le loro mani e i loro piedi attesteranno ciò che essi hanno fatto. Ponderate le parole che Gesù rivolse ai discepoli quando li inviò a propagare la Causa di Dio. Con parole simili a queste, li esortò a muoversi per adempiere la loro missione: Siete come il falò che è stato acceso nell’oscurità della notte, sulla cima della montagna. Fate che la vostra luce brilli davanti agli occhi degli uomini. Tale dev’essere la purezza del vostro carattere e il grado della vostra rinuncia, che i popoli della terra possano per mezzo di voi riconoscere il Padre Celeste, che è la sorgente della purezza e della grazia e a Lui avvicinarsi. Poiché nessuno ha visto il Padre che è nei cieli. Voi che siete i Suoi figlioli spirituali dovete con le vostre azioni esemplificare le Sue virtù e attestare la Sua gloria. Siete il sale della terra, ma se il sale diviene insipido con che cosa lo si salerà? Tale dev’essere il grado del vostro distacco, che in qualsiasi città entriate per proclamare e insegnare la Causa di Dio, non dovreste aspettarvi in alcun modo cibo o ricompensa dalla gente. Anzi quando lascerete quella città dovreste scuotervi la polvere dai piedi. Dovete partirne puri e incontaminati, come vi entraste.

Poiché, in verità vi dico, il Padre celeste è sempre con voi e vigila su di voi. Se Gli sarete fedeli, Egli sicuramente porrà nelle vostre mani tutti i tesori della terra e vi esalterà al di sopra di tutti i sovrani e re del mondo. O Mie Lettere ! In verità vi dico, sublime è questo Giorno in paragone con i Giorni degli Apostoli d’un tempo. Anzi, incommensurabile è la differenza. Siete i testimoni dell’Alba del promesso Giorno di Dio e bevete al calice mistico della Sua Rivelazione. Preparatevi ad agire, e rammentate le parole che Dio ha rivelato nel Suo Libro2 : “ Ecco, è venuto il Signore Iddio tuo, e con Lui v’è la compagnia dei Suoi angeli schierata davanti a Lui! ” Purificate i vostri cuori da ogni desiderio mondano e fate che virtù angeliche siano il vostro ornamento. Sforzatevi d’attestare con le vostre azioni la verità di queste parole di Dio e badate che, voltandovi indietro, Egli non vi cambi con altro popolo, che non sarà a vostra somiglianza e che vi priverà del Regno di Dio. I giorni in cui il solo culto era ritenuto sufficiente sono finiti. E’ venuto il tempo in cui niente, tranne le intenzioni più pure, sostenute da azioni d’immacolata integrità, può ascendere al trono dell’Altissimo ed essere a Lui ben accetto. La buona parola ascende fino a Lui e la retta azione farà sì che essa sia esaltata al Suo cospetto. Siete gli umili di cui Dio ha così parlato nel Suo Libro3: E desideriamo conce- dere il Nostro favore a coloro che furono umiliati sulla terra e farne guide spirituali fra gli uomini e farne i Nostri eredi. A questo alto stadio siete stati chiamati; ma vi perverrete soltanto se calpesterete ogni desiderio terreno e cercherete di diventare quei ‘Suoi servi onorati che non parlano finché Egli non ha parlato e che eseguono i Suoi ordini.’ Siete le prime Lettere generate dal Punto Primo4 e i primi Rivoli scaturiti dalla Sorgente di questa Rivelazione. Implorate il Signore Iddio vostro di concedervi che né pastoie terrene, né affezioni mondane, né effimere occupazioni possano macchiare la purezza o amareggiare la dolcezza di quella grazia che fluisce attraverso di voi. Vi preparo per l’avvento d’un giorno possente. Fate il massimo sforzo perché, nel mondo avvenire, Io, che ora vi istruisco, possa, innanzi al seggio della misericordia di Dio, gioire delle vostre azioni e gloriarMi di ciò che avete realizzato. Il segreto di quel Giorno che deve venire e ancora nascosto. Non può essere né divulgato né stimato. Il neonato di quel giorno eccelle i più saggi e i più venerabili uomini di quest’epoca, e la più umile e ignorante creatura di quel periodo sorpasserà per comprensione i più eruditi e perfetti teologi di quest’era. Disperdetevi dappertutto su questa terra, e, con piedi saldi e cuori purificati, preparate la via per la Sua venuta. Non curatevi delle vostre debolezze e della vostra fragilità; fissate lo sguardo sull’invincibile potere del Signore Iddio vostro, l’Onnipotente. Non fece Egli in giorni passati trionfare Abramo, malgrado la sua apparente impotenza, sulle forze di Nimrod? Non ha Egli permesso a Mosè, la cui verga era il Suo solo compagno, di sconfiggere Faraone e le sue schiere? Non ha Egli fatto trionfare Gesù, povero e umile quale appariva agli occhi degli uomini, sulle forze unite del popolo ebraico? Non ha Egli assoggettato le barbare e bellicose tribù d’Arabia alla santa e riformatrice disciplina di Muhammad il Suo Profeta? Alzatevi in Suo nome, riponete la vostra fiducia interamente in Lui e siate certi della vittoria finale”.

The December 12th 2011 Message to all National Spiritual Assemblies ©2011, The Universal House of Justice

Addressing the Bahá’í community members directly, the House of Justice appeals them to uphold a higher standard, some of which the Guardian described as the “spiritual prerequisites for the success of all Bahá’í undertakings.” They take great care to elaborate on those which, the Guardian indicated, “stand out as preeminent and vital”. Further, The Universal House of Justice exhorts the community to exemplify a “rectitude of conduct in every aspect of their lives–in their business dealings, in their domestic lives, in all manner of employment, in every service they render to the Cause and to their people”.

Bahá’u’lláh expounds that “the present-day order” must “be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead.” The Guardian gives us assurance that “It is this building process… that constitutes the one hope of a stricken society.”

The December 28th Message to the Conference of the Continental Boards of Counsellors ©2010, The Universal House of Justice

This most joyous Ridván season, The Universal House of Justice, greeted the worldwide Bahá’í community with an expression of praise and encouragement. The Supreme Body shared news of the continued advancement of the Cause through the efforts of eager souls “engaged in the work of constructing a new world through the systematic implementation of the Five Year Plan.”

In addition, The House of Justice also shared an historic and moving development in this, the Fifth Epoch of the Formative Age of the Faith, in that of the emergence of a series of plans to construct seven new Houses of Worship in nations and clusters who’s “process of entry by troops was sufficiently well advanced.”
